The digital SAT Math section has 44 questions across two modules of 22 questions each, completed in 70 minutes total. Questions are a mix of multiple-choice and student-produced response (grid-in) formats. The test is adaptive — your Module 1 performance determines whether Module 2 is easier or harder.

What SAT Math score is considered good? +
SAT Math is scored on a scale of 200–800. A score of 600+ is generally considered good, 650+ is competitive for most universities, and 750+ puts you in the top 10% of test-takers. Top-tier universities like MIT and Ivy League schools typically expect 750–800.
How is the digital SAT Math different from the old SAT Math? +
The digital SAT (introduced 2024) is adaptive and shorter — 44 questions in 70 minutes vs 58 questions in 80 minutes previously. A calculator is now permitted throughout the entire Math section. The topic distribution is similar but places slightly more weight on Algebra and Advanced Math. Bluebook, College Board's official app, is used to take the test.
